Almost Done!

Our nursery is almost done! We walked around Colorado Mills Mall today. Ari was fascinated with strawberry milkshakes, Nate was hooked by the build a bear factory! We met up with Ari's parents and sister for lunch and got a few more items for Danika, including her carseat (THANKS!) and toybox (it's under the windowsill. HOT). We're almost done! We just need to hang up the new wallhanging grandma val made and add some finishing details and we are ready to go! 

37 Weeks!

No pictures for this post! Just a quick update. On Monday, Ariana will be 37 weeks along and Danika will be considered full term. As of last Monday, Ari was 1cm dilated and anxious to meet her daughter! Though Danika could be stubborn and wait til 2 weeks past her due date, the doctor thinks she may arrive sooner than later! Cross your fingers! The bags are packed and ready to go, just like Ari. Her last day of teaching for a few weeks is Monday, Nov 3, however, she has this next week of for fall break. We'll let you know when our daughter arrives! Thanks to everyone for all of your support these past 9 months:) 

Getting Closer- 1 month to go!

On Friday my wonderful teammates threw me a baby shower at school. We had a great time with dancing Al! With the wonderful gifts and gift cards we're even closer to completing the nursery. We're almost done, just waiting on our toybox, wallhanging, and cozy rug to finish it up! This little girl can come any day now- crazy! 

Picking Pumpkins!

Today Nate and I joined Nate's parents, Donna and Steve, for an afternoon outing to the pumpkin patch. We walked around the farm, enjoying hot apple cider and pumpkin pie while meeting cows, turkeys, sheep and a pig on a stick. It was cold and rainy as we waddled through the pumpkin patch, choosing JUST the right pumpkin. Ari, true to her nature, chose the two headed pumpkin cuz of its character and personality. Nate, true to HIS nature, had to have the perfect pumpkin with a stem. We had a nice lunch at Benny's Mexican Restaurant soon after. It was a wonderful way to fill a cold, fall afternoon.

Ari decided to surprise Nate with some maternity pictures taken of her and Danika while Ari had some time off from work for a doctor's appointment. We are going to have some more pictures taken by a friend of ours in an outdoor setting with the two of us together, but in the meantime here are a few of our favorites!

A productive weekend!

This weekend Nate and I worked really hard to get our house ready to go for Danika. Only 6 weeks left! It started out with a delicious breakfast with the siblings at Cracker Barrel! Saturday night Liana and I went to see Night in Rodanthe- a must see and a tear jerker! The glider came in on Saturday and was put together Sunday. It is, so so so comfy! It's my new favorite spot in the house. I dragged myself out of the chair to cook some minestrone soup on this chilly, chilly evening. 

Nursery Update!

We are a mere 6 weeks and 2 days away from her official arrival date. That's right! 44 days to go and Ari is certainly ready. The glider has been ordered and we're on the lookout for a bargain on a nice rug to go in the room, but it's starting to look like a nursery! We decided that we really love the idea of collecting fairies and dragons for little Danika. To go along with that theme, we added in dragonflies to add some whimsy to her room.
