Danika's Nursery Day 2

So we continued working on Danika's nursery today! Nope, Ari's not burned out yet. Nate probably is, but that's okay:) Ari painted letters and animals to hang above the window. Nate painted the first shelf and hung it, then put together our swing. Danika has her first giraffe and Good Night Zoo book displayed on the shelf. There is some fixing up to do on the mobile Ari made, but we're off to a good start! It's coming together, though there's still lots to do.

Danika's Nursery! Day 1

Last night we picked up our nursery set and impatiently waited to begin setting it up until tonight. Okay, Ariana impatiently waited and Nate dragged his feet. Surprise!

So for the last month or so, Nate has been asking me to keep the day before my birthday free because we are going to a Rockies game with his office on my real birthday. Today he takes me for a long, long drive to a "surprise" location. Well, of course being me, I fell asleep until we "arrived"... back at our house. He tells me to look outside and confused me almost didn't see anything until he ushered me out the back door... to find friends and family waiting with a surprise baby shower. It was utter confusion for me at first, but then bliss. I am so blessed to have the friends and family that I do- what a wonderful support group. It was a definitely a very special day I will always remember!
