This past weekend we got to go back to Grand Junction for a short visit. A dear friend gave us a gift certificate to Glenwood Springs - one of Ari's most favorite places - for our wedding which we decided to use as a pre-valentine's day/pre-anniversary weekend. It was beautiful! Ari cried alot, missing her baby, but we had a good time. Ari took Nate to "Italian Underground" - the most fab italian restaurant of all time. On Saturday we walked around Glenwood and ate some delish beer cheese soup from the infamous Glenwood brewpub.
Danika has definitely found her thumb, and often chokes on it in efforts of getting it in there far enough, or shoving her whole fist in that yapper of hers. In Grand Junction, grandpa skip helped Danika stand up like a big girl and skooch a few steps. It was great! Grandma Val is convinced Danika said her name "Goom Goom" ... bleh, baby talk :) (Love you, mom!). Before we left the western slope, we got to visit Nate's Aunt Deb's church in Cedaredge. She is very gifted at what sh does! We were able to grab a bite to eat before we headed home.
The day before the super bowl Nate moved his gigantor TV into our teeny tiny apartment... just in time for super bowl sunday. We had fabulous family and friends visit us in time for a so so game (the packers weren't laying, though Danika had to sport the cheesehead love), snazzy comercials and some delicious food. It was a great afternoon!
